Numbers, Numbers they are every where it's true,
what ever form it may be, your SSN , your cedit account,
your age, your DOB, your telephone...
If you think about it, each of these multi-dimensional phases
that you are being projected as a different number,
what's you're answer when some one asks you...
who you are.. and what's your size ?
It's 11 digits when you're over a mobile,
It's a 12 digit code when you're shopping
It's 2 digits, when you're alive...
Imagine, what would a busy street look like, when you
think of a throng of people as just mere numbers
floating around.
Your mere identity is chronicled as a
number, but unlike your body this number will be
reassigned to a different soul.. once you are dead..
Every communication you make over the internet or a
telephone, as you know is just a sequence of 1's and 0's..
these words that i am typing, those smiley's that you send
from a chat window...
Gone are the days, when art was a replication of the inner
perfection of an artist, it's now just a mere magic with numbers,
If you could predict the patterns of these numbers.. @NYSE
you could be a billionaire over night..
what happens to a SSN once a person is dead,
do they reassign it some one else if they do, is there a pattern,
or is this just a random phenomenon ? Can you relate the
ancestors to the descendants in this dimension.
Makes me think of "Matrix", as just more than
Science-Fiction.... A day may come when we are
reduced to just numbers... Who says the evolution
is at its end..??
Chains of thoughts and questions.. sprung after reading
Nothing's post on
the end of digital age

I think you're a sci fi lover, but just don't realize it....yet. LOL
Even if we are all just numbers in the grand scheme of things, i think its the dance of the numbers and the often unnoticed patterns of ordered chaos that is significant. In other words, its when the numbers and patterns form something perceived as meaningful. After all, isnt that just what physical reality is? The most important reality transcends the numbers.
M,
i always liked to sci.... in sci-fi....
but it's the extremes of fiction some of the
movies have that led me astray...
Let's C...If i can with stand an episode of
starwars...may be then can consider myself a sci-fi lover....
and yes, you were right about the unnoticed patterns...
but something in me says..
You see always What you want to see....:)
P
P,
Interesting...you're right...we do always see what we want to see.
I find in good sci fi that there's always alot of hidden meaning. Star Wars is a perfect example. The battle between good and evil, a man so powerful but who learns he can't control certain things, whose intensity and yearning for the extreme gets him lost in passion, (but misguided passion)...I could go on but I don't want to ruin things lol.
Star Trek is also one of my faves, with regards to sci fi. The exploration of new worlds, alternate possibilities, alternate dimensions etc. It seems every alien race is modelled after a race of humans on earth, or something symbolic. (And how could one NOT like the Klingons? Or Spock (who shares the same birthday as my son). LOL The science behind star trek is fairly well researched as well.
Ok...now you know a little bit more about how much of a geek I really am. hahaha
I do hope you enjoy Star Wars. I grew up with it. My brother and I would play Star Wars all the time. He would be Han Solo, and depending on my mood I was either Princess Leia or Luke Skywalker...my mom even surprised us once by dressing up as Darth Vader. hahahahahahaha
Hi Peeps, nice post. --only one thing, my mobile is 13 digits and I am alive with 1 digit as "0" in binary code :-) (that makes 2 things I guess. Damn numbers...)
Talking about sci-fi and patterns, you should check the movie "Pi" if you haven't seen it yet. About The Matrix and the other sci-fi... Well, I am writing things related to these but I'll post it when I am done. Just the matter of time, which is nothing but another pattern of numbers!
Cheers.
